Terms
Terms of use
These terms govern your access to the CipherCue public website and product. If you have signed a separate written agreement with us for the use of CipherCue as a customer, that agreement takes precedence over these terms to the extent of any conflict.
Who we are
CipherCue is a trading name of Justni Ltd, a private limited company registered in Northern Ireland. References to "CipherCue", "we", "us", or "our" in these terms mean Justni Ltd.
What CipherCue is
CipherCue is a continuous external observation platform. We observe what any internet user can observe about an organisation's publicly accessible infrastructure, we record those observations over time, and we cite the public authority behind each one. We do not produce verdicts, risk scores, or predictive claims about any organisation.
Our observation methodology, scanning policy, and coordinated disclosure policy describe how we operate. These documents form part of these terms by reference.
Acceptable use
You may access the public CipherCue website to read our content and request a demo. If you are an authorised user of a customer account, you may access the product in accordance with the contract between your organisation and CipherCue.
You agree not to:
- Access the service through automated means without our written permission.
- Attempt to circumvent any access control or rate limit.
- Use the service to harass, defame, or threaten any person or organisation.
- Re-publish bulk extracts of CipherCue content without attribution and a clear licence from us.
- Use the service in violation of any applicable law.
Intellectual property
The CipherCue platform, the methodology documents, the design system, and all written content authored by CipherCue are owned by Justni Ltd. You may quote our published methodology pages with attribution, and you may share screenshots of the product if you are a customer and the screenshots do not expose data belonging to any other customer.
Public-authority data we cite (CISA advisories, regulator filings, certificate transparency log entries, and similar) is the work of those authorities, not of CipherCue. Our citations are pointers; the underlying data is not ours to license.
Observed entities
CipherCue observes public companies and other entities of commercial interest using only publicly accessible data. We do not target individuals. Any entity may opt out of observation via the methods described on our opt-out page, and we honour valid opt-outs within seven days.
If you are an authorised representative of an entity we observe and you believe an observation is materially inaccurate, contact legal@ciphercue.com with the citation reference and we will review.
No warranty
The public CipherCue website and any free-access content are provided "as is". We work hard to ensure observations are accurate and properly cited, but we make no warranty that the website or its content is uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. Customer service levels are governed by the relevant customer contract.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Justni Ltd will not be liable to you for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss arising from your access to or use of the public website. This limitation does not exclude liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or anything else that cannot be excluded under English law.
Changes to these terms
We revise these terms openly. Material changes are recorded in the changelog below. The version in force is the one published here on the date you access the service.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland. The courts of Northern Ireland have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms.
